The chakras are part of the interconnected energy system in the body. The term chakra, which literally means "wheel" in Sanskrit, refers to one of the seven points of this energy system. Each energy point acts like a wheel, rotating and vibrating with energy. The higher the vibration frequency, the more the chakras are in balance. In total, each of the 7 chakras corresponds to a specific point along the spine. The chakras are named: Root chakra (muladhara) Sacral chakra (svadhisthana) Solar plexus chakra (manipura) Heart chakra (anahata) Throat chakra (vishuddha) Third eye chakra (ajna) Crown chakra (sahasrara) This is a form of meditation that targets blocked or out of balance chakras.
