Do yo need and wish to slow down, connect deeper with yourself and restore balance while nicely stretching the body with gentle movements? Come, start your week and end this year in a more balanced way, I am here for you and you are warmly welcome.
What is yin yoga? Yin yoga (often interwoven with meditation also) is one of the tools, one of the doorways to your true self. After a yin session, clients often report (and I can confirm it from my own experience as well) a sense of inner peace, sense of ease, sense of new fresh space within the body, a feeling as if everything (including body parts) finally fell into its place,... Yin yoga is a slow flow type of yoga. It is a simple style of yoga, yet not easy. We are entering and getting out of the poses slowly, gently and consciously. We hold each pose for a longer time (couple of minutes, with muscles as relaxed as possible), while staying with our breath and focusing on overall happenings in our body-mind. In a physical sense, we are targeting joints, bones and fascias, all of which we often pretty much ignore in our practice. Due to its target areas of the body, yin workout becomes more and more important as we grow older, as those body parts are usually becoming stiffer as we age and with yin yoga we may effectively keep them agile, flexible and vital. Besides the effects on our physical bodies, yin yoga may have many other effects as well, eg. on psychical, energetic, and other levels. For example, we are usually very active most of our time nowadays (ie. very active sympathetic nervous system) and yin practices such as yin yoga may effectively help us in restoring our balance, as it may beautifully activate our parasympathetic nervous system and connect us deeper with ourselves.
