I am a qualified TEFL instructor, and I have been teaching English for the past three years. I also have a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Construction Management Health & Safety, obtained from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. After graduating, I worked in the construction industry for two years as an Occupational Environmental Safety & Health Officer. During this time, I learned many organizational and communication skills. However, I later decided to make a significant career change and pursue something entirely different: teaching. I worked at an Early Learning Centre for a year, where I taught English, Art, and Mathematics to children aged 4-5 years. I also enjoy traveling, exploring, and learning about different cultures, so I took a year off and moved to America, where I worked as an Au Pair. During this time, I took care of two wonderful children aged 3 and 5. After this experience, I decided to pursue teaching English as a Foreign Language. I thoroughly enjoy online teaching because it enables me to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds (Italian, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, Cuban). This aspect of my job has taught me how to adapt my communication style to different cultures.
