I am a qualified teacher, holding a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) with QTS in primary education. Currently, I am working for the local music service as a specialist piano, keyboard and woodwind teacher, having completed my Masters in Musicology and awaiting to start a fully-funded PhD in January 2024. Last year I was awarded a First-class BMus(Hons) degree in music from the University of Huddersfield. I have over 14 years of experience in music and can provide tuition in Piano, Keyboard, Clarinet, conducting, Music reading and Music Theory. Whilst at university, I studied the piano with RNCM's Sally Ann Macleod. I have achieved ABRSM Grade 8 standard in both piano and clarinet and ABRSM Grade 5 standard in music theory. In my free time I additionally play the organ at a local church. I hold an Enhanced DBS and offer tuition online. My rate is £15/ 30 minute lesson . Also, please look at my lesson availability prior to contacting. I can teach pupils ranging from beginner to advanced level. I always try to make my lessons fun, relevant and engaging, whether that be for exam preparation or personal enjoyment. As a university student I have flexible availability for providing tuition.
