As a musician, I have a wide portfolio of experience both in the professional music scene and my aptitude for the instrument. I play guitar as a session player for the pop duo Max and Harvey and with them, I have toured the UK, played multiple main-stage festival sets at festivals such as Camp Bestival and The Big Feastival, and had the opportunity to play on a cruise ship overseas and on TV for CBBC and Nickelodeon. Alongside this, I have my own band called Acolytes where I am one of the principal songwriters and lead guitarist. I have been playing guitar for almost 20 years with experience in classical and electric guitar, achieving Grade 8 in both. I then furthered my experience with the guitar by acquiring a degree in Guitar Performance at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. I have been teaching electric guitar for a few years to students of all ages and abilities with a specialty in electric guitar. I am open to teaching music from any genre or style and pride myself on making the process of learning guitar as fun as possible and getting my pupils playing the music they love as fast as possible whilst reinforcing a strong music theory-based approach to help reinforce their own personal growth as a musician.
