I graduated from Gadarif University, Sudan, in December 2006 with a medical degree. I completed my housemanship and began my residency in general surgery by 2010. In 2017, I earned my medical doctorate in general surgery from the Sudan Medical Specialization Board and worked as a general surgeon. Teaching has been part of my career since my time as a registrar. I engaged in teaching activities and joined Mahart Institute to instruct junior medical staff. I enhanced my skills with trauma and life support courses, becoming an international instructor by 2021. In 2017, I joined the University of Medical Science and Technology (UMST) as a part-time lecturer, later becoming a full-time assistant professor and department head. In Eritrea, I contributed to establishing and educating the residency program and the undergraduate surgical curriculum at Orotta College of Medicine and Health Sciences.
