But every Expat gets asked, How long are you here and how did it happen. For me, it is in the right place at the right time and more about that later!! In my current day job, I have worked as an independent Relocation Field Consultant with one of the region's leading relocation agencies since 2017. My daily assignments include meeting and greeting new corporates moving to Dubai, providing city orientations, and focusing on potential areas related to work locations, school runs (if applicable), affordability of properties, building itineraries for full-day home search with a focus on property inspections, and managing the real estate brokers, utilities, and hidden fees. I also help with obtaining driver's licenses, pet-friendly buildings and communities, housekeeping and the hidden startup costs to consider in realistic budgets. Virtual relocation coaching is getting a head start the 5, 6 or 12 months before the planning stage.
