Hello, and welcome! My name is Taryna and I love being able to share my passion for music and teaching by helping kids (ages 5+) and adults with various backgrounds achieve their learning goals of learning the piano or guitar! I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, where I was on honor roll and graduated Magna cum laude. I also have a teaching license as well as TEFL, TESOL and ESOL certifications. I have been taking guitar lessons since I was 8 years old. I stopped taking guitar lessons after graduating High School and have been playing and teaching independently since. I also finally learned how to play piano as an adult. I have 9 years of experience teaching in Elementary schools, tutoring Math and Reading independently to kids Grade 2 through college, teaching private and group guitar and piano lessons, and teaching English to students from around the word online. With my years of experience I have honed my skills in creating engaging lesson plans, encouraging student curiosity, adapting to different settings and requirements, providing one-on-one and group setting instruction, and fostering a positive and empowering learning environment. My teaching approach is characterized by enthusiasm and patience, focusing on instilling a growth mindset in students and catering to various learning styles. I look forward to sharing my love for music and teaching with my students and helping them reach their full potential.
